One member of the list confirmed that the patch worked for him. I will
incorporate the fix into the sys patches for 4.8-RELEASE and the next
package for 5.0-CURRENT.

Yes, our primary goal is to see ALTQ in FreeBSD 5.x (maybe 5.1).

Unfortunately progress was very slow since last summer due to the
missing support/human resources and my busy schedule (which got a bit
busier since last year). Hopefully this (academic) vacation I will be
able to allocate more time to the project.
In the mean time my immediate goal is releasing another 5.0-current
ALTQ package and proposing the first set of patches to the FreeBSD HEAD
(aka 5-current) branch. That will probably invole building Perforce
patches, a task that I'm not so sure how to do it right now.
Perhaps you guys could look over the sources of both the PF port and
ALTQ/FreeBSD projects and evidentiate the essential changes needed to
make the PF port work with ALQ/FreeBSD. I know that the OpenBSD people
claimed to make extensive changes to the original ALTQ sources (from
KAME ?) to be able to interract with PF.
PS: Testing of the ALTQ-patched bridging code would be of great value. I
did not have the chance to test it yet.
