De ceva timp este disponibil PC-BSD versiunea 7. Printre cele mai notabile noutati in acest release:
- bazat pe FreeBSD 7-STABLE
- GUI KDE 4.1.1 / toolset QT4
- optiuni noi de instalare de pe DVD, USB sau prin retea/Internet
- suport pentru ZFS, UFS2, UFS2+Softupdates si UFS2+Journaling
